How to download feed the beast minecraft

Hey y'all, my boyfriend has been after me to get back into FTB after a hiatus from the game. During that time, I upgraded to windows Now, each time I try to download FTB from the official site, Windows Defender and the Antimalware Service Executable completely lose their minds and get caught in an unbreakable scanning loop, trying to dig through the 7mb file. I can't even delete the file in question because WD refuses to let me touch it.

I tried just letting it scan the thing, but 45 minutes should be more than enough to scan a 7mb file. It's stuck in a loop. Eventually I had to just restart my computer in safe mode and permadelete the file.
