Sims are notoriously less complicated than humans. They take life one day at a time and often choose what feels right in the moment, rather than what makes sense in the long run. Personality Please! Other than that, the mod also gives cats and dogs more varied personalities, and sims can learn traits and choose careers just from having deep conversations with others.
How cool! Every morning I decide whether or not to shave, and the choice has important ramifications on how my life plays out. The same should be true of our digital friends. This mod makes sim beards grow automatically over time, requiring constant shaving. Unless you want your sim to become Gandalf the Grey, that is. Dating and finding partners is astoundingly easy in Sims 4 compared to real life. The SimDa Dating App by LittleMsSam works a lot like a streamlined version of Tinder, allowing your sims to schedule meetings, set up blind dates, or simply call somebody over for a one night stand.
You can start relationships, have some fun… and even get someone pregnant by accident. Just like real life! The Explore Mod by KawaiiStacie lets your Sims go out and explore the world autonomously, either alone or with friends. All very realistic and very immersive. One of the most frustrating and unrealistic things in the game is how every sim is exactly the same height as others of the same age group. As a bonus, Luumia included a hip shape slider and neck length variation for even more Sim variety.
The world is a very violent place, and even peaceful suburban areas like see their fair share of violence from time to time. Extreme Violence by Sacrificial Mods adds the possibility for wrongdoing sims to attack others in a wide variety of ways.
Shooting them with machine guns, cracking their necks, chopping them up with a machete, and even crushing their skulls by sitting on them are only some examples. They may be completely devastated by the death of their pet one moment, then ecstatic because they watched a good movie the next with no in-between.
This mod by Roburky reworks the mood and emotion systems to make them more nuanced and realistic. A depressed sim will need time and help from their friends to get out of a rut, and something like a first kiss will make them feel happy like never before.
You can flirt, go on dates, Woohoo and get married, but it never really feels like a relationship. With this add-on by amazing creator KawaiiStacie you can add all these things. With toddlers since they are not on the list under 'Take photo of' you have to stand your sim near them but the shot probably won't be great. We should have the option for a selfie, or a studio pic, with up to 8 sims, since that is how many we can have in a single household. It's just rude that we can't! We should also have options for serious pics, cheerful pics, funny pics, silly pics, rude pics, etc.
Maybe we'll get the photo booth back in with the University EP? It was included in that one in TS2. There's so much room for improvement with photography in Sims 4.
I need family portraits! And I'd rather all my sims be able to be in it, since that was one of my issues with TS3 too. Technically, you can pose sims for a group shot and take a candid, but somebody would always be left out because somebody has to take the picture. It would be nice if there was a tripod option.
I also miss the way you could pause or unpause and move the camera freely while in photo mode like it was in TS3. It's so tedious to time it just right in the TS4 and to make the sim stand just in the right spot to get the perfect photo. I really do not see the need for more selfie options would be nice if there was the option to take a family picture I rarely use the option to take selfies in the game anyway if I use the camera I use the c button or buy a camera for my sims to take pic.
Look, I had my legacy sims take A LOT of selfies with people and by themselves, filled an entire wall of them, and it became pretty obvious how few selfie pose options we really had. And this was only the first generation; I intended to do this with future generations, but now I don't really want to, it'll all just be the same.
I tried looking for mods that would add more poses. How many did I find? None at all. It's all just pose player stuff. Is it really that hard to add more selfie poses for the actual camera to choose from? It sure would be neat if the pose would be influenced by their personality, or the relationship between the sims taking it as well. We definitely need the ability to have more people in the picture as well. Why isn't that render a thing we can actually do in-game???
Like, they've clearly thought of it. As someone who prefers clayified textures, I can attest that all five poses looked great even on default EA skin, mouth, and eyes. They managed to create ten individual poses six for females, four for males that are distinct and well-executed. Seriously, the looks on my Sims faces when I put them into these poses were very reminiscent of actual social media influencers. The female poses are an excellent mix of soft and sultry, with just a dash of girl-next-door appeal.
Unfortunately, the iPhone X and subsequent recolors that are linked in the creator notes also lead to disabled pages. The creator took the typical social-media-starlet stance and flawlessly recreated it in the Sims 4. Everything, from the artfully-casual posture to the sultry, barely-there smile, is insanely accurate.
If you use Alpha CC to make your Sims as realistic as possible, I promise, the screenshots you take could pass as actual Instagram photos. I especially loved the first pose shy smile with fingers covering the mouth and the last eyes closed, lips puckered. For an awesome and easy to set up Simstagram squad selfie, check out this Windmill Pose Pack by Sims. Unless the creator thinks to include a diagram of where and how to put each individual Teleport Any Sim placeholder, I usually spend hours trying and failing to recreate the preview photos.
Just line up the placeholders, one after the other keep them as close as possible , and voila; cute group selca. I tried out this custom pose set with four of my Sims, but you can definitely have up to five people in the photo if you want.
